Dear Bowler,

Hi,

Is it really August already?  Time to start looking ahead to the new season.  Try to find where you put your bowling equipment, think about starting to practice and get back into bowling mode, attend league meetings, etc.???

We hope you are enjoying your summer and look forward to seeing you on the lanes come September.

Sincerely,

Greater Grand Rapids USBC Association

Billy Orlikowski and friends win

National Team All-Events

Most of us will never win one Eagle in our lifetime but Billy Orlikowski's team has won their 2nd eagle at this year's National Open event that was held in Baton Rouge, LA.  The  S & B Pro Shop No. 1 team won the Team All-Events with a total pin count of 9,954.  The former PBA Tour professional won his first eagle in 1999, also in team All-Events.  At that time he was bowling for Ottman Enterprises in the tournament held in Syracuse NY.  Billy helped his team to the title with a 2,038 in all events.  He had a 742 series in singles, 626 in doubles and 670 in team action.  It took 13 years to get the second one; maybe 13 is not bad luck after all.  Congratulations!!
