Averages – Tournament and Book Averages

Beginning with the 2026-27 bowling season, the Greater Grand Rapids USBC will be utilizing a tournament average for most of its handicap tournaments. Bowlers with at least 18 games over the last five seasons will use either their yearbook average or their tournament average – whichever is higher.

The average includes data from, and will be utilized in, the following tournaments: 500/600, 700/800, Seniors’, Mixed Doubles, City Open, City Women’s. Averages will be updated once a year, during the summer, so your tournament average will remain the same for the entire 2026-27 bowling season – though we may update the document periodically due to name changes or other copy-edits.
