Sarah Pettenger Captures Miller Lite Invitational Title

miller-lite-17-womenThe third and final Council tournament of the season was held November 12th at Wengers Bowl. 12 ladies competed in 4 games of qualifying, followed by a cut to the top 4, and elimination bracket match play to decide a winner.  This event was held downstairs on lanes 1-8.

Sarah Pettenger qualified 3rd, and defeated Stacey Browe 254-211 in the semi-finals.  She then defeated 4th seed Carole Morgan 224-194 in the finals.  High qualifier was Michelle Kubiak

Chad Reiffer Wins The Miller Lite Invitational

miller-lite-17-menThe third and final Council tournament of the season was held November 11th at Wengers Bowl. 27 bowlers competed in 4 games of qualifying, followed by a cut to the top 8, and elimination bracket match play to decide a winner.  This event was held upstairs on lanes 9-16.

Chad Reiffer qualified 5th, and turned it up in match play averaging over 250 with games of 244-268-240 en route capturing the title and $599 for first place.  Chad defeated Matt Sumoski in the finals 240-197.  Matt earned $300 for runner-up.  High qualifier was Jeremy Pettenger.

New Deadline for Sunday’s Council Tournament

ATTN: WOMEN BOWLERS

To hold the council tournament this weekend we need 12 bowlers. To be fair to our bowlers wanting to bowl this weekend the deadline to reach the 12 bowlers required to hold the tournament has been moved to Saturday @ noon.  If there are at least 12 paid entries by noon on Saturday walk-ins will be accepted on Sunday.

Please get your entries in as soon as possible. Lets make this tournament happen!

Sumoski & Knowles Team Up To Win PBR Henry Fox Doubles

2017DoublesWinnerThis past weekend there were 35 total entries in the PBR Henry Fox Doubles tournament held at Westgate.  After cutting to the top 8, coming out on top was Matt Sumoski & Justin Knowles who just beat out Dennis Johnson and Mark Meinema 466-440 in the final baker game match-up.  Matt and Justin also led the qualifying round with 1,914 pins after 4 games.  Low to qualify this year was 1815.  This year’s tournament Hi-Game belongs to Dan Hudson who shot a perfect 300 in qualifying.  Mike Horian had the highest qualifying series with 1021.  Hi-game for the women was 268 shot by both Donna Marcus and Stacy Timmer.  Timmer, also had the high series for the women shooting 937.
