TJ’s Poker Room Event
/in Events, News /by Ryan RossJoin us at Lincoln Lanes, August 13-16 for poker tournaments and cash games. Once again we’re working with TJ’s Charity Poker Room and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Greater Grand Rapids USBC.
Schedule of Events
August 13 – Doors open at 4pm for cash games.
Tournament starts at 6pm is a $20 Build-A-Stack game. Players can buy more chips while playing. $20/$10 Rebuy Tournament.
August 14 – Doors open at 4pm for cash games.
Tournament starts at 6pm is a $50 Deep Stack Freeze Out event. 25,000 Chips.
August 15 – Doors open at 4pm for cash games.
Tournament starts at 6pm is a $50 Deep Stack Freeze Out event. 25,000 Chips.
August 16 – Doors open at 2pm for cash games. 2 Tournaments on Sunday.
3pm – $30 Freeze Out, 10,000 Chips
7pm – $40 Freeze Out, 20,000 Chips

Annual Meeting & Board of Directors Elections
/in News /by Ryan RossThe Annual Meeting was held on May 14 at Westgate Bowl at 7:00pm.
Thank you to all those who attended last nights Annual Meeting. We had about 50 in attendance. We heard several excellent reports from the USBC Annual Meeting in Nebraska (which will be posted online soon), elected 1 president, elected 5 officers, and passed one amendment to the by-laws. The amendment now states that for Election of Directors, “Qualifications must be submitted to the Nominating Committee at least one week prior to the Opening of the Annual Meeting”. This used to be 24 hours.
Pat Cross was re-elected as president.
Re-elected to 3 year terms as board members were:
JoAnn Goggins, Earl Haney, Sharyl Jahn, Matthew Jelsma, and Leroy McIntosh
